The famed Harlem eatery launched their Melba’s Employee Relief Fund in partnership with the nonprofit Team Unity Incorporated, with a goal of raising at least $250,000 for financial relief. 90 percent of donations is meant to directly aid hourly and salary employees at Melba’s, with the remainder going to Team Unity, which supports multicultural education in the NYC Metropolitan area.
According to the insider, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex wanted to contribute to the fund after hearing about their efforts.
