Jerry Alexander

About

Jerry Alexander is a native son of Harlem – born, raised and still resides.
Affectionately known as “The King of Bradhurst Avenue”, Jerry is a construction/building professional by trade. He devotes his spare time to coaching sports – from pickleball to basketball to softball – with encouragement, patience and ever-present smile.

Early in the summer of 2023, Jerry launched Bradhurst Pickleball – a twice-weekly meet-up for the Harlem community to learn, practice and play pickleball. And also indulge in the food that Jerry provided and lovingly cooked on a portable grill. It didn’t take long for word to spread far and wide that 152/Bradhurst was the place to be on Wednesday & Sunday nights. Week after week, Jerry hosted and coached an ever-growing group of players – who were as diverse as the city itself.

With the establishment of The Harlem Pickleball Association, Jerry aims to bring the joy and benefits of pickleball to more members of the Harlem community and beyond.
