Hope Kaye, a lifelong New Yorker, lives in Washington Heights with her husband, author A.J.Sidransky. She has been active in the community since settling there 20 years ago.

Hope is a former advertising executive, with a career history that included The Financial Times, advertising agencies and ad technology companies. Currently, she serves as a consultant to an ad agency, assisting with business development initiatives.

An avid, accomplished tennis player since childhood, Hope became eager to try her hand at pickleball. And so she did, about 2 years ago – becoming instantly hooked, like millions of other players. It captured her heart – and gives her much joy in playing a sport aside from tennis.

Hope believes pickleball is a “great equalizer”. All are welcome, it’s easy to learn and isn’t cost prohibitive. It crosses all boundaries and provides a quick path to making new friendships while having a fun time – and getting some exercise to boot.
Via the HPA, she hopes to impart the Harlem community with the joy, wonder, and benefits of the sport.
